Thanks to the guys over at Axa and Amex… 12 months insurance for the price of 3!!! No, I don’t understand it either but hey ho.
Still trying to work out whether to take a shedload of Travellers’ Cheques or just use a card and be at the mercy of the cash machines in Asia… Any thoughts on this one?
So we’re leaving on Thursday the 8th. S & J will be completing on their house purchase on the 31st so sh0uld be able to attend their housewarming before we leave.
The most important thing though is that I’ll be able to watch at least 2 episodes of Doctor Who with Matt Smith. Still reserving judgement until I’ve seen a few episodes. He does look like the Eric Stolz character from Mask 😉
Way too long since my last post but have been going back and forth with the various travel agencies for our trip. We’ve now added on Bali… So here’s the final itinerary
14 nights in and around North India (dropped Goa from the trip as the connections were a nightmare!)
14 nights in Kerala
14 nights in Sri Lanka
7 nights in Bangkok
14 nights in and around Phuket
7 nights in Kuala Lumpur
7 nights in Bali
7 nights in Singapore… then back to London in early July!
Fingers crossed we won’t face any issues with the BA cabin crew strike!
Thanks again to Emma over at TFC for coming up with a great itinerary and some truly wonderful hotels!
for a decent map plugin that doesn’t make WordPress 2.9.2 crash. ‘Fatal error’ reminds me of the dreaded BSOD from when I used to run Windows on my home computers!
Yes, hectic day today. Had sushi lunch with Mr O. at Life on Old Street and had a Big Ben burger for dinner. Well and truly stuffed.
Anyway, back to business!
Went into K. today and discovered that the interconnecting flights have massive gaps in between. For example, we arrive at 11am and the connecting flight departs at 8pm – what kind of logic were they applying when coming up with the quote? WE HAVE A 2 YEAR OLD CHILD TRAVELLING WITH US!!!
Anyway, the kind lady @ K. is working on it to get it sorted!
Okay, enough with the limitations of using WordPress.com – too many fees to upload media etc.
Anyway, had the ok from my medical team re’ vaccinations etc so had a few today. Left arm is a bit achey so might end up driving the automatic later today.
For those visiting from my starter WordPress.com site, this is where all blog posts will appear from now on. So bookmark banerjee-quetel.com and you’ll come straight here!
I’m going to add to this blog fairly regularly… hopefully I’ll work out how to post video and audio soon – I have a bit of a learning curve here!
Keep reading and we’ll be in touch soon!
Mostly about our big trip but includes some other stuff too
