Grandma decided to take us on holiday to Jojo island to see a special Jojo coconut tree. We packed our bags, and we were so excited, that we couldn’t go to sleep the night before the flight. I looked at the stars through the open window, and I wondered what it would be like on Jojo island. This is the first time we’ve ever been on holiday with our grandma.

Grandma went into her bedroom, and took a shiny, emerald green stone, but she wouldn’t allow us to see it, because it was magic. She gently put it into her glittering, gold Indian bag. As she lowered the stone into her bag she said “Ssssssshhhhh!Stay there until we reach Jojo island!”

We were all packed and ready to go, and daddy gave us a lift to the airport.

As we were driving, daddy said to grandma “Where is this Jojo island? I googled it yesterday and I couldn’t find it!”

We went through all the usual plava of airport security check and boarding pass and we even had to take our shoes off!

Poor grandma was holding her sari fold (kuchi) in her right hand, and she was holding her gold bag tightly in her left hand. Then it was time for the bag check. The security guards asked grandma to open her bag so that they could check that there was nothing dangerous inside. And then they found the stone.

“We must take this stone away and examine it before we can give you back your bag.” Said a security guard seriously.

“Oh no!”I thought.

Grandma began to tremble.

The security guards marched off with the stone, and they put it in their office.

We boarded the plane, and then we took off. Up, up, up we flew, and the plane accelerated to high altitude. We passed through many countries, and we were extremely tired by the time we finally got to Jojo island, so when we got to the hotel, grandma let us have a rest.

From our window, we saw the horizon next to the cloudy sky, where the sun was slowly setting. The deep blue water lay shimmering by the sand, where the coconut trees stood. It was a truly amazing sight. Below are some pictures of what it looked like:

“It’s beautiful!” I thought.

I was amazed at the beauty of this island. I never wanted to leave.

My brother, who’s called Piers is 4 years old, and he didn’t really understand because he was too young.

We’d never actually been on holiday to a place so beautiful before.

The next day we decided to go and get some coconuts for our breakfast, so we wandered out into the open air, and we gazed at the beach where the coconuts were planted.

We ran over to the beach in delight, and the glowing sun was just beginning to rise.

As we reached the coconuts, and grandma tried to grab one, a sparkling coconut began to talk.

“You cannot take my coconuts, but I can give you the magic words to get back your stone.”

“Yes please!” said grandma.

Ok. So these are the magic words:

ekam cigam enots emoc kcab.

The magic words were backwards, and the magic words said:

make magic stone come back.

Grandma obediently repeated the magic words:

ekam cigam enots emoc kcab.

ZOOM! The precious stone immediately flew back to us, and this time, grandma let us look at it aswell! This is what it looked like:

And then grandma’s bag came back!

I was so glad.

Just then grandma’s stone began to glow, and it took us to another part of Jojo island. It took us to a city made of emeralds. We were at the Emerald City!

We went inside, and WOW! We were amazed! It’s was amazing! We asked a dwarf if he could help us find a place on Jojo island, called The House Of Jewels. The dwarf didn’t know where the house of jewels was, but he knew someone that did.

“Go and see the Wizard.” He said.

“The Wizard?” Said Grandma. “Who’s he?”

“The Wizard  is a powerful man who knows everything in the world. He is the king of this city. You might know that this place is called The Emerald city of Oz, but we are still on Jojo island.”Answered the dwarf.

“Thank you for the information!” We said.

We marched to the wizard, and when we got there, we bowed our heads. The Wizard smiled at us and said “I know why you are here.” “You are here to find the way to The House Of Jewels?!”

Grandma nodded.

This was the wizard:

Ok. Everyone! Put your hand on this magical prophecy! It will take you to The House Of Jewels.

This was the prophecy:

We all put our hands on it, and it immediately whisked us to The House Of Jewels.

We went into the house, and everything was made of jewels, diamonds and crystals!

This jewel was my favourite:

This was my brother’s favourite jewel:

And this was grandma’s favourite:

We gently placed grandma’s magic emerald jewel on a table made of diamonds,

and grandma said “My little jewel. Now you can do your magic!”

The jewel twisted and turned, filling the room with a scent of perfume. Slowly a portal appeared.

We stepped into the portal and it whisked us away to another amazing world.

It took us to the world of minecraft! “I’ve always wanted to be in a minecraft world!” I shouted excitedly.

“Where are we?” asked grandma.

“We’re in the world of minecraft!” I said.

I smiled at a minecraft pig that was passing by. This was totally awesome! I saw a villager who was walking into a blacksmith, and I asked him where we could find a diamond mine. He told me that I could find one near the   farm.

We all wandered over to the farm, where we found the diamond mine! We entered and found that it was haunted with zombies, but we weren’t scared.

We carried on our journey and we collected 1000 diamonds. We took them back to the blacksmith, who helped us make us each a diamond sword. Now we were ready to take on the challenges ahead. We then thanked the blacksmith for his help, and we left with our swords. It was SOOO exciting. We saw a skeleton, and with a single blow of my  sword, it was dead.

We also managed to defeat a zombie pigman, a zombie and a creeper, but we couldn’t defeat the Ender Dragon.Uh oh! This wasn’t looking too good…

…Luckily Steve saved us by making a portal.

The brilliant time (REAL)

During the weekend which was on Saturday 30th of May 2015 – Sunday 31st I went to my brothers party at Mace Place. We were both very, very excited for my brother’s big day. He was going to be 4 on the 2nd of June! On the 6th of June he was going to start Karate lessons! He liked all his presents and now plays with every single one! My favourite present out of all of them was the 50 pranks to freak your friends. I predicted that my brother’s favourite present was the hulkbuster and I think I am correct, because daddy agreed with me.  Then we had Vietnamese for lunch and our cousins came to stay round our house for the rest of the day. On Sunday nothing very special happened, but I did some stop-motion with my dad using my sunglasses.

Harry & the wolf

Harry & the wolf

Once upon a time there lived a little boy called Harry. Harry lived next door to a forest and he was the sort of boy that  wasn’t afraid of anything. One day Harry went into the forest when his godfather was sleeping.

As soon as Harry went into the forest his godfather woke up. “Harry, Harry where are you?” He called, but Harry didn’t hear him. Harry’s friend who was a red squirrel waved to Harry from her

tree hole and Harry waved back to Nutty (which was the name of the red squirrel.

Nutty suddenly hid because she’d just seen a big brown grizzly bear about 3 cm behind Harry.

When Harry turned around he saw the bear that was as brown as bronze, but he didn’t scream like any child would, for after a minute or two he realized that it was a friendly bear and so Harry called to Nutty to tell her.

After that the bear made friends with Harry and Nutty then Harry noticed the time and then rushed back home as fast as his little legs would carry him. He ran all the way to the gate where his grumpy godfather was waiting for him.

Just then Harry heard the beautiful sound of singing. It was a girls voice but Harry didn’t care, he just wanted to find the ‘girl’ who was in fact a princess! Harry begged his godfather to go back into the forest, but every time he said “NO!”  but when Harry heard the voice again he thought, “Right. No or not I am going into the forest to find that girl! So when Harry’s lazy godfather was sleeping, Harry silently tiptoed out of the tiny hut. But no sooner had he left the hut he found himself face to face with a big grey, hungry wolf, but Harry wasn’t scared because as I’ve told you before, he isn’t afraid of anything. He then dashed to the forest.

Harry soon found the girl standing upside down on a tree branch singing her song:

Daisy’s, bluebells, lavenders, poppy’s tooooo ooh ooh!

Daisy’s white, bluebells blue, lavenders purple and po o ppy’s too!

la la la lala la la la lala m m m mm m m m mm  da da da dada da da da dada!

HEY!

Gosh! what a sweet voice she has! Hi! he called up to her. What’s your name? My name is Princess Ella of Scotland. She said politely. Gosh! You’re a princess! Exclaimed Harry. Oh, YES! I was named after my great grandma, Great Grannie Ella (short for Elizabeth). So you’re name is actually Elizabeth? That’s right! May I be your friend? Asked Harry politely. Of course! Ella replied. What shall we do first? She asked. Lets make a secret den with that low tree hole. Good Idea! And they built the den right into the very heart of the tree taking care not to kill it.

Soon the sky started to go dark which always meant a storm, so Harry and Ella sheltered in the den. They had to stay in the den for 54 hours before they could come out to see a big jolly rainbow, and there had been a lot of thunder.  Hello! something said above them. But when they looked up they saw nothing.  Suddenly, Harry realized that there was a coiling thing around a tree and it was a leaf tailed gecko. So it was he who had spoken! Cheeky Gordon the gecko!

Blog still works!

Sorry for the delay in getting new posts up on here. Have been REALLY busy doing almost nothing on the Bali beaches 😉

On a serious note, we had  a major issue with spam comments and had to shut off a couple of features. Also installed WP version 3.0 with the Akismet plugin which seems to be working really well.

One small request – to those of you that have put a trackback or link on your site to this one, could you please remove the link? It will help reduce spam traffic.

Cheers!

Mostly about our big trip but includes some other stuff too
